George W. Bush left a highly controversial legacy behind following his tumultuous eight years in office as commander in chief. In an effort to offer a more balanced take on history as it is presented at his Presidential Library in Dallas, artist Ellen Chenoweth created an augmented reality experience to supplement the information on offer; visitors simply download a free app from Layar, point their smartphone at ten “trigger images,” and see this additional visual and textual context.
